1000 Uses For Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Use #2, Make Your Own Furniture Polish

Clean and restore the luster of your wooden furniture by applying this formula made with our extra virgin olive oil. It may also help with removing superficial water rings on wooden tables. It’s just as good as any of the commercial stuff, and doesn’t include waxy ingredients that create unwanted build-up.

  • Funnel
  • Measuring cup and spoons
  • Plastic squirt bottle
  • Microfiber cloth (or clean, soft rag)

  • ¾ cup KARMIRI extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup distilled white vinegar
  • ¼ tsp. lemon oil (or fresh lemon juice)

Using the funnel, pour the olive oil, vinegar and lemon oil or juice into the bottle. Shake it well to emulsify. Spray the polish onto soft a microfiber cloth (never spray it directly on the furniture) and work it into finished-wood furniture. Always go with the grain and evenly distribute the polish. Remove any excess polish with a clean cloth. If the wood has detail work, go over the area well with the cloth and solution, then take a soft-bristle brush to work the solution into the grooves. Finish by buffing with a soft cloth. The olive oil will nourish the wood while the vinegar and lemon cleans it.
