A stuck zipper can be a quite a nuisance and extremely aggravating. One quick household remedy you can try to release a zipper quickly and easily is to just put olive oil on it. Yep, that’s right, it’s that simple.
You can use a cotton swab to apply the olive oil to the teeth of the zipper, and then gently ease the tab down. Alternatively, you can put a drop of olive oil on the zipper, wiping off any excess, and then your zipper should move like it’s meant to.
One important side note is to be careful when using this trick on zippers attached to cloth, since the oil can stain the fabric if you’re not careful. That’s why this technique works best with luggage or other baggage zippers, which are attached to plastic or leather objects.
